Jalpari is a DJ, producer, and experimental multi-instrumentalist based in Brooklyn, NY. While their artistic practice was sourced by the euphoric feeling of collective acoustic sound (orchestra), their artistry is currently sustained by the restorative nature of existing inside amplified sound. They were introduced to the transformative force of a proper sound system on dance floors in Hong Kong and Copenhagen, and moving to Brooklyn has opened their eyes to the expansive potential of electronic music. Whether they are DJing, playing live, or recording, Jalpari’s practice explores sonics as an opportunity to create dream-like states of mind we can float in.
