Blast Studio is a London-based collective exploring the potential of ultra-local materials to redefine how cities make and build. We have developed Cupsan, a biomaterial created from discarded coffee cups collected across the city. From this material, we design and craft sculptural and architectural pieces that embody a Neo-vernacular culture rooted in local waste. Alongside our own creations, we collaborate with artists, architects, and designers who use our boards and materials to shape their own works. Our practice bridges craft, biology, and digital manufacturing to imagine a city built from what it discards, where waste becomes the raw matter of beauty and regeneration.
