I investigate how both visual and written language shape human perception, the way we orientate towards others and our capability to form kinship with them. By focusing on materials explorations and while drawing interests from philosophy, anthropology, environmental studies and film studies, I question the categories, hierarchies, and biases consequences of a humanist project that does not recognize difference and looks towards homogenization. Through installations and sculptural gestures, I seek to redirect attention to a possibility of transformation, a more empathetic way of understanding, and the need to collapse the borders and barriers that we use to keep us all separated.

*Future Forward Feature My practices echoes concerns of the way we have arranged and transformed the world as a consequence of the Anthropocene and the language we use to build it. I am interested in challenging its role and power, not in an attempt to reject it and imagine an impossible pre-linguistic future, but to think what can we do while being aware of how much it has transformed and mediate how we relate with others. I am interested in bringing to the present questions on how to continue to exist in a world with so much loss and in the verge of extinction, how to grief the beings, practices and relationships, how to care of the ones we still have and how to continue to look forward.
