My practice is grounded in womanhood and the exploration of my femininity. Offering an ongoing dissection of self, I document female transformation. Through such introspection and viewer projection, I inevitably reach the unveiling of the social and political climate in which the works exist. Allowing for these systems to become a playground for material gathering, accumulation, and manipulation, the body acts as a tool for making and understanding. Working with sculpture and performance in tandem, both informed by the body, my performances are acts of labor and connection, often utilizing sculpture to place the body in circumstances of restraint, repetition or activation. The sculptural elements of my performances allow for subtle documentation of the ephemeral as they evolve alongside the gestures performed on to them or with them. I am interested in the traces of women and their bodies as vessels of memory, regeneration and resistance, continuously leaving residue on space and place. This enables me to frame viewer and site as witness to woman.

*Future Forward Feature "I am an interdisciplinary artist dedicated to investigating the female form as a site of continual resistance and transformation. Working across painting, sculpture, and performance, I engage with the fragility of human experience and interaction—foregrounding sensation, affect, and embodied memory. Not only is this exploration heavily reliant on a sensitivity to the past and present, but it is anchored by an openness to the future. My work attempts to gather traces of the ever-changing female state and therefore awaits and relies on shifts that are yet to occur. "
