As someone whose creative practice is fueled by his introspection, and search for identity, I am in many ways a selfish artist. I yearn to serve no one, and achieve self-liberation by embracing the chaos created through pursuing art. I am drawn to mediums that control and dictate the negative space around them, and do not conform to any one practice. Whether that be through the soundscapes created through music, the two-dimensional depth created through film, or the physical planes created with sculpture, I aim to form an environment that envelops the beholder. Art is a vast, undefinable method of expressing oneself, and its beauty (for me) lies in its absurdity, and the freedom one achieves through realizing their craft.
