My work speaks when I cannot. Working primarily in ceramics, I create organic forms and surfaces that explore emotion, memory, and identity through elements drawn from both nature and the body. For “Forbidden Fruit,” I present a series of glaze test tiles that shift away from my sculptural forms while continuing my interest in transformation, unpredictability, and unfamiliar beauty. Covered in vivid colors, flowing textures, and strange, almost alien surfaces, these small tests become intimate worlds of experimentation where attraction and discomfort exist together. As an immigrant living between cultures, I often think about uncertainty, instability, and the feeling of becoming. Through glaze, texture, and color, I use clay as a way to give physical form to emotions that are difficult to explain, creating surfaces that feel alive, seductive, and slightly unsettling at the same time.
