Raine Roberts is an artist that uses lens-based, light sensitive processes to convey the patterned behaviors of people in their environment, and the environment in people. Her principal medium is film, in photography and in filmmaking, although her work encompasses sculpture, wood working, alternative processes, installation, and her own written texts. She works from a conviction that the human structures that shape our routines and daily lives are rooted in the natural processes of our environment, and that the two intermingle, play and influence/interfere in one another.
