My work grows from a need to stay in conversation with the natural world. I turn to historical dye practices because they reveal color as something alive -drawn from plants, seasons, and place- and I hope my pieces return viewers to their own moments in awe of the outdoors. My work often involves themes of nature, myth, and the sensory parts of being human, shaped by both research of traditional techniques and personal experience. My process balances tactile craft with the wildness of natural materials, honoring what I can shape and what I can only witness. I try to work the way our ancestors did: attentive, collaborative, and open to the world around us.
