Hari Priya Vangaru is a photographer and designer from Hyderabad, India, currently based in New York. She graduated in engineering, design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad. She pursued Creative practices at the International Center of Photography, New York, in 2024 upon receiving a Director fellowship award. Her art practice is based on embodied experience and consists of mixed media including photography in conjunction with drawing, installation, sculpture, and performance for the camera. Research and experimentation are the core of her practice. Past experience in working with handicrafts and textiles in India led her to appreciate the handmade quality of the objects and her practice is an extension of this appreciation. She is currently working on projects related to bodies of water.
