I paint the places where feeling arrives before language. Born between Mexico’s vibrant spirit and Italy’s deep-rooted traditions, I carry both worlds into the studio, translating memory, identity, and transformation into color and light. My portraits—often of women—move between clarity and blur. Edges soften, faces dissolve, and the image hovers the way a memory does: vivid in emotion, uncertain in detail. Working primarily in oil, I build transparent layers to let earlier marks breathe through the surface. The blur is intentional; it echoes how we protect ourselves, how experience loosens with time, and how resilience takes shape inside that haze. I’m interested in the moment when release begins—the quiet turn toward light after a difficult passage. My paintings invite the viewer to step in, recognize a piece of themselves, and linger in that charged space between what is fading and what is forming—where loss, renewal, and hope coexist.
