We're currently inviting artists with a strong commitment to their chosen craft and clarity of vision to apply to join The Fugue's Directory. By invite or referral only.
Selected artists will be added to our artist directory and will be considered for:
• Group and solo exhibitions at Fugue Gallery (physical and/or digital)
• Commission opportunities from commercial partners, brands, and private clients
• Collaborations and special projects led by Fugue Gallery and curators
We're seeking artworks that are deeply considered, skillfully made, and sincere in their expression. Whether your practice is rooted in tradition or contemporary form, we’re looking for a dedication to the craft and unapologetic communication through the language of art.
Requirements:
- Artists with an active studio practice and interest in showcasing their work
- Grounded in technical excellence, uncompromising honesty, and a collaborative spirit
- Artists must be invited or referred by a Fugue Representative or Artist

How does Fugue Gallery representation work?
We represent artists on a project by project basis. Artists listed in our directory are not bound to an exclusive contract nor are they guaranteed or entitled to exhibition opportunities. If there is a good-fit project, the artist will be contacted by a Fugue Representative with full details. Terms and conditions will be specific to each project, and artist will have the option to accept or decline the opportunity.
What are the benefits of Fugue's Artist Directory?
Unlike other galleries, Fugue Artists are not bound to an all encompassing exclusive contracts and are free to exhibit elsewhere and sell works independently. Fugue Gallery collaborates with artists to connect them to collectors, brands, and commercial clients to increase exposure and paid opportunities. Artists within our directory and network will receive priority for features, exhibitions, commissions, and special projects. Fugue Gallery works on behalf of artists to negotiate mutually beneficial relationships.
What does it cost to join the Fugue?
There is no cost for invited artists to join Fugue's Directory and network. Commission will be determined on a project by project basis. Artists will always have the option to accept or decline opportunities.
How is Fugue Gallery different?
Fugue Gallery merges the worlds of gallery, publisher, and agency to promote our artists to the highest capacity. Fugue Gallery is artist-owned so we understand artist requirements and challenges, and work on behalf of our artists to ensure the best experiences for market opportunities.
Fugue artists are collected internationally by major collectors, galleries, and institutions like the MET. Brands that our team has partnered with historically include: Ray-Ban, Persol, Warner Music, Nike, Brisk, Yahoo, AMC, Vitaminwater, Nat Geo, TBS, 1800 Tequila, Budweiser, John Varvatos, Pandora Jewelry, Showtime Entertainment, Under Armour, Footlocker
Can I still exhibit at other galleries?
Yes, being listed on Fugue's Directory does not prohibit artists from accepting opportunities outside of the network. For Fugue specific projects, contracts are drafted on a project by project basis.
What are the next steps?
We will review your application, and notify you if you've been accepted. Artists will be asked to finalize details for the directory and may schedule a time to meet the gallery director.
